Settle Story Telling Festival

Last year I was honoured to be a part of Settle Stories and this year it looks even better! http://us2.campaign-archive1.com/?u=7998b02c822020874986f9a71&id=3bab6de48d&e=8389f550f0

Experience storytelling with a difference

Taking place in Settle, the Yorkshire Dales, the Settle Storytelling Festival is for all ages and celebrates the best of storytelling from around the world. This year's featured artists include:

Hugh Lupton in the Homing Stone. This is the story of Hugh's Great Uncle Arthur Ransome's perilous journey through Russia where he played chess with Lenin, and fell in love with Trotsky's secretary.

Grant Gordon from the Divine Comedy performs Century, the story of the 20th Century through music. This is uplifting, multi-media music theatre at its best.

TUUP and Sheema Mukerjee. An unforgettable evening of African and Carribean tales from members of Transglobal Underground.

Taffy Thomas, the UK's Storytelling Laureate, leads storytelling walks and workshops and tells bedtime stories to under 6 year olds. Don't forget your teddy bear!

Kamishibai Capers - Japanese storytelling with highly acclaimed Japanese storyteller Mio Shapley.
